The Heartland Ag Network began as we were searching for a qualified and dependable farm director for our group of stations in Southeast Missouri. We were fortunate to be introduced to Dr. Ray Nabors, who has a vast background as an agriculture specialist as well as a broadcasting background. Dr. Nabors had a long running radio program called the "Bootheel Bug Report" on several stations in Southeast Missouri and Western Tennessee, before the day of email or satellite delivered programs. Dr. Nabors would visit the stations and do "live" reports and interviews with the station personalities, which proved to be very successful.
Dr. Nabors started working for Pollack Broadcasting in July of 2006, developing his programs and contacts for the radio reports. Dr. Nabors becomes each stations "Farm Director" on the Heartland Ag Network, providing daily farm and market reports, and a valuable part of each stations daily programming. Dr. Nabor's reports are exclusive to your market, and Dr. Nabors is also available for live phone interviews, or would be available to attend your stations special events such as farm shows or special farm related events that you may be covering.
The Heartland Ag Network provides five daily programs to your station for download from this website, or through email delivery. The programs and affiliation with the Heartland Ag Network is provided free to you, in exchange for the network commercials which are played inside the programs sent to you. You can find sample programs on this website, as well as the length of the program, and the time the program is available for your station.
